Try running through fire, swimming in freezing water, wading through mud tunnels, and crawling across barbed wire, all the while being distracted by fire machine-gun blanks, thunder flashes and smoke bombs.
- (Possible injuries you may sustain: barbed wire cuts, burns, hypothermia and electric shocks.)
I won't go so far as to say traditional marathons are for pussies, but let's just say in order to participate in Perton, England's charity driven Tough Guy Challenge, all applicants must sign a "death warrant".

All of these shots look like scenes from the movie Predator... either way... all contestants of this even should be up for the "Medal of Complete Badassery"...
totally. they called this year's competition braveheart II
coming this year... Tough Guy 2: Back with a Vengeance... coming soon to a "You're never going to ever want to compete in this competition" near you... "And this time... it's personal." *Explosion outro/End of trailer*
That was the most badass stormtrooper ever
Like a boss!
I wonder which is harder, ninja warrior or this.
well... it depends on what category youre trying to describe hard in...
Harder due to physical challenge: Ninja Warrior
- there are competitions in which people are passing out due to heat exhaustion or hypothermia due to extreme weather conditions... PLUS The Tough Guy event was designed to be complete-able... and what is it now... 3 people have ever beaten Ninja warrior?
Harder due to Mental Stress: Tough Guy. hands down... granted the pressure of a hundred man competition ON television is tough... but the tough guy has no fame or glory or massive cash prize... AND the ninja warrior events are designed to have safety precautions... as for the tough guy? I dont know if theres such things as safety precautions for running through fire, or climbing barbed wire, or running through freezing mud/water, or being trampled by a massive human stampede... the fear like stress is MUCH harder... but thats why its called the "Tough guy"... conquer the course and conquer your fear!
I suppose its more a of a personal question. The answer will no doubt vary greatly from person to person. Ive never tried either so I cant really say.
Agreed. I have no personal experience of either event myself. But needless to say, contenders of both have some guts... gotta give it to em for it!
